The goal:

  • Complete supply of the dye-works including heat recovery
  • Use of waste water heat to preheat process water as well as feed water. In addition, the waste water heat is fed into the heating system.

Our solution:

Separation of cold and hot waste water when discharging it from the textile machines:

  • Separate waste water collection tanks (cold water 120 m3, hot water 100 m3
  • 3 countercurrent heat exchangers (special construction for textile waste water)
  • Feed into the process water tank 200 m3
  • Feed into the feed water tank and the heating system

The data:

  • Daily water consumption of the dye-works: 2,000 m3
  • Heat recovery from waste water: 44,450 kWh/day
  • Heat recovery from cooling: 31,000 kWh/day
  • Heat recovery from compressors: 26,200 kWh/day
  • Total heat recovery approx.: 101,650 kWh/day
  • Total heat recovery approx.: 27 million kWh/year
  • Annual savings of EUR 540,000
    at an energy price of 0.02 EUR/kWh
  • Amortisation: 1 year
